Jon Vogel, Charlotte, North Carolina Branch Manager
Jon brings years of training as a Giant, as well as a great diversity of work and
life experience, to his role as branch manager of our Charlotte, NC office.
At age 15, Jon's family relocated from Massachusetts to Australia,
where he remained through college, studying International Business at the Swinburne
University of Technology.
After graduation, Jon pursued myriad travels, including an African safari and a
cross-country road trip with a group of high school friends, as well as stints as
a Maine Guide, and then a ski instructor in Jackson Hole, WY. Deciding to settle
down for a bit, Jon was referred to Gentle Giant by a family friend and employee
of the company. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a top crew chief;
well-liked by fellow Giants and customers alike for his easy-going demeanor as
well as disciplined leadership on the job.
Married in May 2006, Jon and his wife Jessie, a Charlotte native, enjoy spending
their spare time in the mountains with their Bernese Mountain dog, Bailey, or
boating on Lake Tillery with family and friends. Jon and his employees stay fit
by lifting weights and unwind while playing with the
Charlotte Gaelic Football Club.
