Part of the mission at Gentle Giant Moving Company is to be a positive member of the communities we serve. To assist with this effort, Gentle Giant joined a national partnership last year with Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies to collect non-perishable food items and delivers the items to food banks all across North America. This partnership has allowed Gentle Giant to make a huge impact on every community we serve across the country by helping collect food to help feed the hungry families.

With the support of Move For Hunger, Gentle Giant is able to help our customers donate thousands of pounds of food simply by explaining the program before the move and leaving them with an empty box to fill in the kitchen. Gentle Giant collects these donation boxes after the on-load and transports them to food banks at no charge.

Being a committed partner to Move For Hunger has given Gentle Giant unique opportunities throughout the year to get involved with community events. These events, in addition to our customers’ donations, gave Gentle Giant a total of over 56,000 lbs of food, which is roughly 47,000 meals for those in need!
