I want to give a shout out about how fabulous this team was! They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, chill, … I was so worried because I’ve never needed moving services, but they made it look like a breeze. I wanted to help a few times but they just said – we’re okay.

The team was fantastic

The team was excellent. Very courteous and efficient and they took excellent care of our things. The only mishap was a broken planter, which the team promised to clean up. I hadn’t realized they hadn’t disposed of the broken planter or cleaned up the mess until I returned to the house later. It was not a big deal and did not compromise my experience in any way, but it did create more work for me as I was trying to vacate the house. That’s the only reason they didn’t earn an extraordinary rating.

I just wanted to reach out to let you know, we appreciate the help we received from Alex and London yesterday. They were excellent and you should be happy to have them representing your company. They were number one, both strong, knowledgeable and very cordial.

Courteous, careful, efficient

It frankly was an amazing experience! This was my third move, all with GG, within the past five years. This one was complicated by twice as much belongings to move, as we had my husband’s furnishings, many from his former home, to consider. We also were moving long-distance, some two hours away, rather than a quick trip across town as previously. All things considered, it actually was an easier move than we could possibly expect. Shawn and his time of experts arrived on a Tuesday to pack fragile items, which we had been unable to secure properly. Then Shawn and his three Team-Giants arrived earlier the next morning to transport our things to our new home. They even foresaw where things would go prior to our arrival, and with no previous direction, placed a large rug exactly where we intend it to be, without even our informing them!
We do hope not to repeat any move in the near future, but if we do, we certainly know who to call!

Rob and Danny were truly outstanding! They did the work of 10 in two days time, including an upright grand piano move, all while maintaining professionalism and good cheer in spite of the long hours and rainy weather. Their precision when handling my fragile antiques was noted and their care when unwrapping and assembling was greatly appreciated. Not a single piece of furniture sustained any damage!

Also to thank in this was the packing and loading crew on the Boston side 18 months ago. Their exceptional packing skills made all the difference and I am grateful to them as well (thank you, guys!).

Having worked with 4 different moving Co’s since we relocated from Ashland MA to Portsmouth NH in March 2022 – and having moved ~15 times since 1976, the first 8 times being into & out of BU – I’ve developed certain criteria about Moving to try to both minimize bad surprises on Moving Day and to improve the experience each time. So when I saw the Portwalk Place Property Manager Review of Gentle Giant, I immediately reached out (via the Website over a weekend) and got back an email Quote from Peter on Monday morning, for a move on that Friday afternoon. Just to be clear, I’ve never had such a straightforward, simple, clear process to even getting a Quote, so that says a lot about both your process and your staff, and now I’m a big fan. Teresa was just great to work with over those 5 days, really responsive, friendly, and super helpful.

On Moving Day, this time we needed 8 pieces moved from our Apt to BlueBird Storage plus we needed a few things moved around both in our Apt and in Storage; Cody reached out 20 mins before, and the entire move was done within 3 or so hours. The guys were really pleasant and easygoing to work with – not always the case – along with being fast and efficient, plus they worked really well together, anticipating each other’s needs in a visible way. While I didn’t accompany them to Storage (my husband David did), he was very happy with how quickly they facilitated that move, which involved 2 storage bays, one of stuff we’re keeping and one with old furniture for which we’ve engaged someone to sell. The very next day – yesterday – we sold a 5-piece kids bedroom set, and just the way the guys had moved in most of those 8 pieces, was so smart, it made it easy to disengage and quickly move out the kids bedroom set.

Larry, I’m sharing these minute details as a way of saying, I’m all done looking for my next Movers. We will be relocating down to the New York Metro region probably within 18 month

The careful attention to detail and the care they took in packing some very delicate antique china, art, and more was truly impressive and appreciated. Gabe and team were terrific. We have moved several times, near and far and I have seen the results of others’ moves. None with outcomes nearly as positive as this one we had with Gentle Giant. It was our first move in 30 years, our first with Gentle Giant and we are grateful that everything made it to our new home safely, without damage or breakage, nothing missing. Well done!

Kieffer provided great pre-move support with a fair and accurate quote and additional information on how to pack. The packing and moving crew, led by Javier, Gabe, Andre, Karun, Octavius, Andre, and Artemis were friendly, efficient and very productive. A great team which is a real credit to your company. This was our third, or possibly fourth, move with General Giant. As with the previous moves, everything went smoothly, both at the Management end and on the trucks. The guys were friendly, efficient, and couldn’t have been more accommodating of our wishes. We would like to single Hans and Sten out for gold medals, JayJ and Dex for silver, and everyone else for bronze. As with each of our prior Gentle Giant moves, you made it as easy for us as this sort of thing can be.

We’ve done 23 moves during our lives- they ranged from good to mediocre to poor. People are the key; I rate Christian & crew as FANTASTIC! I’d describe them as intelligent, hard-working and efficient (without sacrificing safety or protection of furnishings). I’d be happy to provide a recommendation at any time.

The movers were fast and efficient and polite, but I was most impressed about how they worked together among themselves. They seemed to be helpful to each other, a real team.

The crew was great; they handled my furniture way better than I did when I last moved. I had some boxes of glassware that I didn’t pack super well, and yet still nothing got broken! Overall great experience.

The crew was excellent. On time, polite, efficient.

They did a great job except they were not able to get our sofa section up the stairs. It was extremely difficult since it would not fit in the elevator; but it was the one item left from the move. The Building Super came the next day and with 3 men was able to get it up to our apartment for a cost of $800. I think if the Super had been there when they began to unload, they would have been able to complete the work.

The packers (Octavian and Talisman) were excellent. Not only did they pack Everything (even tidbits) they did it with care. Karun, Artem, and Octavian moved everything in the Rain and always checked to make sure where things go. Everyone was nice and professional.

Crew was extremely, professional, caring and capable when crating the very large painting and moving all four items between locations.

We worked with Will Stirling and his team on an unusual move that was in support of three charitable organizations. Will was terrific with helping us navigate several challenges along the way and the organizations are thrilled with the delivery, which took place that day despite delays (which were no fault of GG).

Under the focused and spirited guidance of Mitchell Glover, the crew, consisting of Houston B., Randy D., Richard W., and Raymond B., and later Joe G. and Michael C., provided great care in dismantling a 20-year household of cherished items, and then restoring our new home to functional form, which included Michael Valle hand delivered a precious heirloom in his truck!

The entire team was not just personable, but a delight to work with. Strong, handsome, efficient, and eager to please – what more could one want! A funny scene was Joe carrying with one arm and a smile a huge ottoman and going from one room to the next while I figured out where it best belonged. My two-century-year-old-Armoire broke down into a dozen pieces and the crew dismantled and reassembled it with surgical precision, as Raymond wrapped each piece in a blanket as if it was a beloved ancestor. It was an added delight to share personal stories throughout the day with Houston, Randy, and Raymond. And Richard and Michael kept the day moving like a dance.

All the guys were tireless in their effort toward great service and care. The confidence exuded by the team made a long and intense day easier to bear and a joy to end. We would not hesitate to recommend these Gentle Giants to our friends and neighbors.

My move-in crew, Dex, Erick, Artem, Paul, Malik, and Dakarai were wonderful. They did everything carefully and patiently. Communication was great and everybody was so polite and helpful. And I want to give an extra shout-out to the crew who packed up my house when I moved out in Dec. 2022, too: as I unpack, I see how much care they took in packing up precious household items. I even found a specially-labeled box that contained the ashes of beloved family pets, which the crew had been careful to label for fragile treatment. A reassuring experience all around.

For the pack and move: Hans and his team were incredible, from start to finish! Hans, Amarie and Garfield did an impeccable job carefully packing up all my prized possessions to ensure they made it safely to my new home while also taking care to keep my apartment livable for my last night. The next day, Hans, Mark, Sten, and Antonio came to finish up packing, load and deliver everything which they did with good humor and efficiency.

The moving team arrived on time and called ahead with a specific ETA. All three were personable, accommodating, and worked quickly/carefully.

The crew (in our case Luke, Mark, London, Orion and Jack) was outstanding. They are true professionals and take pride in their work. They were careful with our belongings and unfailingly courteous with us. That reflects well on the company’s careful hiring and investment in its people.

I had a great experience working with Andrew & Santiago. They were professional, timely and extremely helpful with our move. Quick and efficient

We had an excellent experience with the two individuals who helped us move items through our house. I’m pregnant, so having the help not only eased my mind, but also helped make sure my husband didn’t throw out his back because I wanted to move things around 🙂 The team arrived early, but made sure to call in advance and ask if that would be ok (it was). They brought all the proper tools to ensure the process went smoothly, and they got the job done in record time.

It took me a while to get this review done because I moved internationally, but the movers were so amazing I really couldn’t go without sharing. they really did above and beyond to make sure everything ran in a smoothness fashion – from taking down my tv mount and properly packing large frames to adapting to last minute change in the storage unit size, they really did it all (even landing a helping hand with a friend’s move at the same time). John was particularly skilled in running the crew and making sure all my belongings fit properly at their destination. I will definitely book your services again when I move back.

We had a great experience working with the Gentle Giant team! Communication with Ed . and Terrence F. was great. All details were thoroughly discussed and any questions were answered quickly. The packing team (Kenzo H., Taulupe L., Rayshawn W., Andres R., Eduardo M., Justin M.) showed up in full force and right on the scheduled time and did an amazing job – above and beyond if you ask me. They were all very friendly and great to work with. Very efficient and detail oriented when packing. All of the dismantled items were secured together for ease of delivery. We moved states and were a bit hesitant of how long it would take for our items to arrive but the moving truck arrived quickly and on the estimated date. The delivery team, Mark H. and Mark M., did a great job unloading, making sure everything was where we wanted it, and reassembling furniture items dismantled for the move. They took care to put down blankets on all flooring they would be crossing. I was extremely impressed with the care they took on our stairs leading to the second floor as they are curved and most of the large furniture had to be carried up – not a mark on the wall or stairs. All items used for moving (boxes, blankets, paper, etc) were removed upon their departure. Would definitely use Gentle Giant again and highly recommend for any move!

During the initial consultation, the man that I spoke with said that there are less expensive moving companies, but he guaranteed that we would be satisfied with Gentle Giant…he was absolutely right. I was told that there would be four men doing the work and three showed up at first. A fourth guy showed up very quickly. They handled everything with care and the price was slightly under the maximum quote. I would absolutely use GG again and I’ve been spreading the word. A couple of other people that I know also had very good experiences with this company as well.

The crew that came to move my piano was very respectful of my space and skillful in their work. I appreciate how they took the time to find the best way out of the apartment building as it was a little tricky at first with steep ramps out of the garage and the steps at the front.

I really appreciated the professionalism of every person I spoke with, from the coordinator to the moving crew. The crew took exceptional care of my belongings, were polite and did not hesitate to ask questions to ensure that everything went smoothly. Moving is always stressful, but this crew did a great job of alleviating that stress with their great work.

We have used Gentle Giant for 5 or 6 moves starting in 2002. Every time we have received excellent service during the planning/estimating and the actual execution. I do not recall ever having any “surprises” or disappointments. Nice job by Cory and Antonio on this last job.

From start to finish, our move went smoothly and was handled professionally.
We can’t say enough nice things about the entire experience — the people we dealt with were fabulous and so pleasant to work with (office and movers), the excellent use of technology to make the inventory issues easy to deal with, estimates that were fair and accurate (though the actual costs were lower than expected!), the office staff was so accommodating and communication from start to finish was excellent from everyone, packing protocols were followed by the moving teams. Really, we can’t think of anything that was problematic or what we could even suggest that you do better!

My husband and I found the entire experience very positive. The sales team, Chris and Erin, were amazing from the very beginning. We actually changed our “move to” location during the process and they quickly adjusted our quote.

We had an amazing crew! They were so nice, had positive attitudes, organized, and on task. Our house and belongings were in great hands and nothing was damaged. Our move came in a little bit over budget which I did not expect but the crew moved a lot of items. I wish the service was less expensive but based on the experience we had it ultimately was worth it. I do think I could have had the same thing done elsewhere for half the price but we paid the premium for the excellent customer service.

My daughter and her roommate experienced a house fire wherein the building was soon to be condemned. However, their apartment unit only experienced minor water damage so we needed a mover within 48 hours willing to move items out of a burned building. Gentle Giant heeded the call and were amazing. Very understanding, helpful, and professional. Really outstanding when we were in a pinch.
