This is my second time using Gentle Giant, and my return can be attributed to the excellent experience I have had with the people who work for GG. Setting up my move with the office was easy, and the friendliness, courteousness, and professionalism of my move team from pickup to delivery was excellent and put my mind at ease.

We used Gentle Giant Movers for my son and his roommate’s move into a small college apartment in Boston, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Donnie was the supervisor for our move, and he and his team were fantastic from start to finish.

Moving in Boston during the college rush is notoriously hectic, and this was no easy job: the apartment was on the 6th floor with no elevator. Despite these challenges, Donnie and his crew handled everything with professionalism and efficiency. They navigated the busy streets and endless flights of stairs without complaint and took great care with all of our belongings.

I was especially impressed with their positive attitude and how smoothly they coordinated the whole process. What could have been a stressful day turned out to be a seamless move, thanks to Donnie and Gentle Giant. Highly recommend!

I had a really terrible move experience from my old house to my storage unit. I needed to find a new company that I felt confident in for my move from my storage unit to the new house. Gentle Giant was caring, compassionate, detail-oriented and efficient every step of the way. Speaking with Peter, I felt confident that GG was the right company to trust. The movers on moving day had been briefed on my previous situation, continually checked in with me, were cautious with my things and purposeful in their work, everything was fone efficiently and everyone was just so kind to me. I really appreciate it!

We have moved many times but never with such an extraordinary crew. Each one was smart, friendly, incredibly industrious, and fully invested in the quality of our move. My daughter is not well and we were disorganized. Jackson and Anthony were only kind and helpful. We were packing as they loaded and they didn’t seem to mind that we were sometimes in their way. Anthony also discovered the last mover (a friend) had ruined my daughter’s ikea bed but he found a workaround . They are not just movers, they are problem solvers Extraordinary! My second time using Gentle Giant and I referred another daughter who moved with you in the 26th.

My entire experience with Gentle Giant was outstanding. Easy to book the move, great communication from the operations team, and extremely professional movers. The three gentlemen who helped us arrived precisely on time, organized the move perfectly, and got my elderly mother settled into her new place with patience and kindness. They even helped us set up new furniture!

Lucas and the team were simply amazing. I’ll be honest, when I received the quote for estimated costs prior to the move, I was a bit taken aback. It’s not inexpensive, however, the amount of work, as it came to light, was incredible and the team headed by Lucas took everything in stride. Everyone involved in the packing, move out and move it were consummate professionals. We ran into some challenges with house access, a steep driveway, narrow doorways etc., and the crew just went with the flow. Never was there a moment of visible stress or discontentment. What struck us as well, was how nice and polite each crew member was to not only us, but to each other. They were the definition of a strong, happy and very productive crew. The amount of work accomplished was astonishing and when final invoice was presented, I was almost happy to pay it. Really, these guys were amazing, and I do not use that word lightly. Just great.

This was a complicated move consisting of 3 locations and busy Boston streets and Ricardo and the team did an excellent job keeping things on track and stress free.

Alex, Nelu, Gabriel, Morgan and Anton were absolutely incredible. They were thoughtful and considerate of our needs, and at the same fast and efficient! We could not be happier with their support and dedication to get the job done correctly.

Great service, made problem right.

The crew that handled our move were amazing. Really professional, diligent, and very nice to spend a day with. We have had very bad moving experiences in the past (not with you) and this was completely the opposite! Everything was packed carefully and well, the team was well-coordinated, and communication was outstanding. The one piece of constructive feedback I have is that I was not notified that someone would want to document in person the “high value” items. I had packed quite a few of them already and so this was difficult. But they handled it well! If I had known, though, I would have set them aside. Just a small point, though, in an otherwise excellent move.

The crew did a wonderful job. Matt Richard Christian Sean Colin Zack and Jeremiah were excellent communicators, polite, hard workers thorough packers, and very efficient. This is the third time you’ve moved us and you’re going to store our stuff now and so we’ll see you in the new year when it’s time to put it all back into a new house.

A first-class experience from start to finish – efficient, knowledgeable sales and moving coordination team, and an amazing moving crew, who were extremely processional, respectful and courteous, and went the extra mile.

I thought moving my 400-lb piano to the second floor would be impossible because the front and back staircases were too narrow. I sent the company measurements of the entrance, staircase, and doors, and they confirmed that they could do it.

They even sent a team to inspect the site beforehand and figure out the best approach. In the end, they used a crane to move the piano into the house. It sounds like a challenging job, but they handled it flawlessly and made the whole process completely stress-free.

The price was also very reasonable for such a difficult move. I highly recommend this company, especially if you need to move a heavy piano or other difficult items!

We had a great experience with our move. Your movers showed up on time, were courteous and efficient. They took extra time trying to remove a couch that just wouldn’t fit (and was extremely heavy). They were able to take it apart and reassemble it, just as they did our other furniture. Our place was challenging to move out of (lots of tight narrow stairs) and they made it look easy. We appreciated the time and care they took.

I was honestly pretty stressed about this move, but Sarunas and Ricky made the entire experience go smoother than I ever could have expected. They were incredibly skilled, efficient, and effective from start to finish. They knew exactly what they were doing, worked quickly without sacrificing care, and made what could have been a stressful day feel easy. I can’t recommend Sarunas and Ricky enough—absolutely outstanding service!

Rolando, Josh, and Jeff were extremely competent, exceptionally polite and patient. They worked efficiently and accommodated all of our wishes and changes.

The crew arrived on time, acted extremely professional, and handled all of items with care.

Your movers were exceptional. Efficient and professional. Should we need to move again, Gentle Giant will be our first choice of movers.

I’ve now used you 4 times and (while not cheap) you do incredible work. And this was the best move so far. The team was incredibly thoughtful and thorough throughout. Paulius and Logan meticulously took apart and put back together a lot of very high value stuff, and Logan and Lulu figured out how to get my favorite large bookcase up a very tight stairwell with only a few minor dings on the wall. The team was also very efficient, especially when unloading at my new place. You made a process that could be very stressful much less so. Thank you to everyone who helped, but especially Paulius, Logan, and Lulu for all of their great work.

From beginning to end working with George and ultimately with Jon and Anderson for the actual move was so easy! It was a very stressful day (as all moving days are) and Jon and Anderson were so patient, kind and courteous. They went above and beyond and I can’t say enough about their work! Thank you, thank you. It was my second time working with Gentle Giant and both experiences were something to rave about! I am happy to recommend Gentle Giant.

Kenny Butler demonstrated outstanding leadership skills as well as personal hard work while directing his crew. They all worked well together as a team. They were very efficient and nearly ran up and down the halls. The furniture was very well wrapped. There was no damage to the goods and not even a nick on the door jambs. Guys were nice and efficent

The care given my furniture and other belongings was above and beyond. The crew that moved me was like having friends and family moving me. They were friendly and communicative.

Alex C. assisted me with the estimate for our move. He was wonderful! Not only was Alex extremely helpful, but his estimate perfectly accurate to what the actual costs were in the end. Our movers Horraine M., Manny P., Calin A. and Grigore G. were all kind, professional, careful and reliable. This was a great experience across the board!

I just wanted to email and let you know how smoothly the move-out went this morning—the 2 crew members were so efficient, kind, and careful.

The four member crew were clearly up to the challenge of moving an antique piano in a tight space. They worked at this stairwell for 30 to 40 minutes before achieving the exact right angle. To top it off, all four of them were very pleasant, personable people.

From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations! I was considering other companies, until I met with Kieffer. After his visit to our home, I had such a great feeling that even though your quote was higher than others, I felt strongly that Gentle Giant was the company that I wanted to use. Kieffer was so thorough and accommodating that I had such a feeling of trust.

Once we signed the contract, it was clear that we had made the right decision. Dominique was great with final details. Then the moving crew!!! What can you say about Gabe and the whole crew?!?! They were such a pleasure to work with! Every member worked so hard, always with a smile, and maintained such a positive attitude through a very difficult logistical move. How Kevin got that truck up the driveway I will never know, and we were blown away with how hard everyone worked. I will never, ever, ever call a different moving company again.

I enjoyed working with you then – but never had the chance to hire Gentle Giant. But, when we decided to move from Melrose to Assembly Square this summer, Gentle Giant was my first call. The team you sent was excellent. Everything went off very well. We moved half of our stuff (the rest will be moved in September) – and it was so easy. This is the third time I’ve used Gentle Giant, this time for a small move. They understood the requirements to move a large format photo printer and did so carefully and successfully. Was willing to be flexible with stringent building rules at the move-in location. Worked quickly, but carefully too.

Everything from booking to the move was smooth and efficient. They took great care for our items. We had a very short window to move items from a storage unit before the lease was up and the team was so accommodating. Thank you for helping us in such a tight time schedule! The crew was exceptional. They loaded up our entire house in around 2 hours and worked with us to facilitate the drop off same day, which helped us finish our entire move a day early. They were friendly, accommodating, and very professional.

With just a couple of days’ notice, the crew (2 people) arrived at the agreed time with a roomy truck. There were several directions — this goes to the new house, that needs to be carried upstairs (or downstairs) and put out for “special pickup.” This needs to be set aside for our car… etc. The crew got everything right, and loaded quickly. We then went to our new place, where some furniture needed to be re-arranged to accommodate the new items coming over. Again, the request were a bit complicated –move this here, move that there, position that here, etc. They got everything in the right place, and made sure it fit well. This was a sort of “supplementary” move with Gentle Giant, to take care of the last few things in our old home. As before, the crew did outstanding work, and the receptionist and schedular were fantastic as well.

Rocco and Asa were absolute rock stars when it came to this move. We moved from a loft in Nashua to a townhouse in Laconia. The loft has a 100 yard hallway to the elevator and the townhouse required all items to be moved to the first or second floor. The three-person crew was very fast, efficient, and knowledgeable about their work. Several times I saw the crew leader cautioning a team member about a safer way to lift and carry. Even with that professional caution built in — they got the job done WAY earlier than we expected! They were courteous, calming to the patients (that was us!), reminding us that they were there to help. They were happy to check whether something had already been loaded on the truck, get something off if necessary (it wasn’t) and even carry a few extra things that we designated to our car.

This move was only the second time in my life that I have hired movers. The first was when we moved into our house in Lexington in 1999. I went with the recommendation of a co-worker and hired a different moving company. The experience was awful. I did not feel that my furniture was handled properly and I felt that I was treated very disrespectfully.

Based on that experience, I was a bit apprehensive about this move. However, I felt that this experience was completely the opposite of my previous experience. You were very clear in explaining the process and the charges. It was very easy to schedule a date that worked for us. The communication regarding the arrival time was just as expected and very helpful for our planning.

I would particularly like to commend the three movers, Jeremiah, Max and Manny. All three of them worked very hard and they worked well together as a group. They were very accommodating when we added more items to be moved and they were very helpful in arranging all the furniture when we got to Hull. In my opinion, getting some of the bigger, heavier furniture up to our second floor must have been very difficult. Nevertheless, they never even touched any of the walls and everything arrived exactly as it was when we left. In addition, all three of them were kind, understanding and extremely polite. I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

The guys who packed up our house were terrific. They were helpful, respectful and had a good understanding what to pack and what to leave. They worked very fast and completed the packing in a lot less time than we anticipated, providing accurate labeling on all the items. For a variety of reasons we used another company for our move and had a chance to experience their workers. They got the job done but there was no comparison. If we had to do it again, we’d have definitely hired GG to do the move as well.

Robert, Joel and Kevin were amazing during what was a very stressful time for us. They were so patient and accommodating with us and especially with my elderly mother. We ran into a hold up where we didn’t meet the truck until an hour or more after we wanted to and the team just took it in stride, getting everything situated until we arrived. This job was taking a custom cabinet out of the builder’s crate and then moving it to the 2nd floor. The team unpacked it, wrapped it and then moved it. They also helped put felt bumpers on the bottom so that I can move it.

The team made the experience as easy as the stressful experience of moving can be. Besides moving belongings, relieving stress is the single most important thing a team can do, and yours did! Erin G., our coordinator, was exceptional. On the few times I grew really anxious, she provided answers, good advice, and brought comfort to my wife and me.

Shane and Kevin were awesome! They were on time (actually a little early), worked quickly but also did not sacrifice care with wrapping things or taking them apart. AND they were so polite and nice and frequently checked to make sure they has the right items.

The crew was running about 45 minutes late for my move, but I didn’t mind at all because of how quick and efficient they were. And super friendly too. They had my entire 1 bed apartment in the truck in 90 minutes and the entire place unloaded with furniture reassembled and in the correct positions within an hour after arriving at my new place. It was my first time hiring movers and I definitely had a good experience with Gentle Giant.

Jeremy, Stepan, Ovi and Dylan were wonderful. We have used Gentle Giant for almost 20 years and every experience has exceeded our expectations. Mitchell and Maria were amazing from providing our estimate to helping coordinate our move. Items were returned from storage and we moved a craftroom from one location to another. This was lots of small items that they carried up and down two flights of stairs. Everyone was hard working, polite and careful with our items. We would never use anyone else!

Shane, Alejandro, Dominic and Ethan all did a fabulous job. They were very friendly and helpful, and actually fun to work with. They carried on even when we had a temporary loss of elevator service. This is the fifth or sixth time I have used Gentle Giant over the last several decades, and I haven’t yet been disappointed. I do not use social media, so I could not leave reviews on any of those sites – please pass this feedback along if you are able.

It’s a TEAM effort and everyone has been fantastic. Starting with Shane, who helped me become aware of options I did not even know existed. Likewise Rachael was always there when I had a question. Jim, the “leader”, has managed moves for me before and has been excellent each time. His team worked diligently and thoughtfully on a very large move which took an entire day. They were lovely to work with throughout.

Jay and Matan were absolutely amazing. I’ve used many moving companies and never had a moving crew as fast and professional as these two. I really appreciated not only how fast they were but their expertise in making sure the truck was unloaded in such a way that I’ve been able to find and unpack boxes very easily. That’s not something I’ve ever thought about before but they’ve made my life much easier.

I had not moved in decades and had spent the last month before your movers arrived throwing out and moving boxes to a different location and not really “having time” to feel sad about leaving until the morning they arrived. They all eased my mind immediately and started right in on disposing of the furniture I requested, moving the rest of the stuff to storage and the next apartment and got me working too and eased my mind almost right away. Great service and employees to put it mildly.

extraordinary team of three young men. The team leader was highly skilled in English and introduced his team as from Eastern Europe. They worked tirelessly on the hottest day to date and they worked with obvious team effort, coherence, spirit, and tireless effort! They moved the complete contents including several plants. original art, and fragile items. They lent a hand to my sons who were assisting me to re enter my newly renovated home. It was clear to me from my first impression that the company leadership has established a diverse working environment. And nice to hear that women are well represented!; a defining factor in my original choice. (I don’t usually participate in surveys, but this is an exception. The company and its employees seem exceptional to me and I trust the team will receive my feedback.)

My wife and I recently moved from Washington, DC to the Philadelphia area, and we had an excellent experience with Gentle Giant. Everyone was very polite and friendly. I have had a confusing situation and they have all rolled with the punches. At first I did not know exactly where I would be moving, just North of Boston, but then I found I would need to put my things in storage as I was unable to finalize my apartment arrangements. Everyone I interacted with whether by phone or in person was amenable and helpful. When the moving guys arrived at my house, I had not quite finished packing, but they very willingly stepped in to get me finished. I also had a number of furniture and other items that were set to be removed for donation, recycling, etc, by another company, and your moving guys very competently sorted everything out. I have used Gentle Giant several times in the past and been very pleased with its work. That’s why – 21 years since my last move – I chose to call on the company again. I was not disappointed. Elizabeth L. in the office and Shane, Josh, Robert and Sam on the moving team were the best. Very polite, helpful and professional.

They moved a very large sofa in with no problem and hauled off boxes from our move with GG two months ago. That is a fantastic post close service. The guys did a great job! They were fast, friendly and efficient. They were knowledgeable and helpful getting rooms set up so that all we had to do was unpack the boxes after they left.

All three guys were courteous, careful, and clearly skilled at knowing just how to move large things in small places. The team did not give up on a very difficult move of a large sleeper sofa to 2nd floor, up stairs. It really didn’t fit. But they eventually got the correct angle. And then there was ANOTHER tricky entry through the kitchen.

We had a great move in May 2026. Peter was very thorough and professional with the estimate, and Teresa was always responsive to any pre-move questions we had. We purchased full packing services, and our team of Chuck, Chris, Andrei, and Dimas did a great job caring for all of our items. Nothing that was wrapped up was damaged at all. Moving day with Chuck, Josh, Anthony, and Sean was equally good. We had one casualty of a scratched kitchen trash can, but Chuck brought it to our attention immediately and made fair arrangements. Out of 5 moves, this was the best crew I’ve used. Clean blankets, truck. Careful treatment of objects and no damage. Fast and safe. Great experience. The only improvement could be in the final step of stacking boxes – recommend stacking boxes with labels facing outward.

This is my second time using Gentle Giant. This move of my household effects was twice the size of my previous move and included a very large collection of books and other items that were bulky and/or heavy which necessitated navigating over several flights of steps, around very tight corners in the stairwell, and then the street to which I was moving was closed for replacing on the day of my move necessitating parking the van around the corner from my house and walking everything from a few houses away from mine. Not only was everything moved efficiently, but the lead mover and entire team worked extremely efficiently, without any incident and with incredible grace and, expertise. The move coordinator before the move was knowable, thorough, and comforting. I went from dreading this move to having the entire experience being a genuine pleasure. Before retiring, I was a senior executive of a global company and honestly you should be extremely proud of the corporate culture of customer-focussed excellence you and your team have created and nurtured.
