Gentle Giant Moving Company is excited to announce its new sub-business Small Moves Boston. Small Moves will operate throughout Greater Boston and serve customers who require ‘smaller’ moving services including transporting the contents of a one-bedroom apartment across the street, moving patio furniture out of storage, and carrying heavy items like a sofa from one floor to another. There’s no request too large or unusual for Small Moves, and our highly trained Giants have experience in moving everything from pianos, pool tables, exercise equipment, and even large outdoor sculptures.

Gentle Giant’s venture into the new Small Moves business line reminds us of where it all began. The company was founded by President Larry O’Toole in 1980 with a friend’s borrowed truck and a $17 one-time ad in the Boston Phoenix. After hearing too many horror moving stories, from a no-show moving company to belongings being held hostage, O’Toole had the goal of assembling the best team of movers ever.
