The 54th Head Of The Charles Regatta, By the Numbers

The 54th Head Of The Charles Regatta, By the Numbers

Every October, Gentle Giant gears up for the largest rowing regatta in the world. As a company founded in Boston by rowers and staffed by countless rowers throughout our 38 years, it is a fun opportunity to reconnect with former employees and find potential new ones. Gentle Giant is a sponsor and the official mover of the Head of the Charles, so the lead up to race weekend involves months of preparation for an event that always seems to end too quickly.

We are so proud of all the athletes who participated from the vast Gentle Giant employee base, past and present. From recreational master’s programs to top level collegiate teams, the diversity of events featuring Gentle Giant representatives highlights our long history of hiring and developing athletes throughout the area.

After the racing is over, we like to take a little time to reflect on the weekend of competition and the company participation. The Head of the Charles represents an integral part of Gentle Giant’s company culture, with a focus on athletic excellence, quality service, and community support.
