Andre Eilers is Gentle Giant's Washington DC Regional Manager. He began his career with Gentle Giant back in 2012 when he moved to the US from his home country of Germany, and he has been with the company ever since, quickly progresses from mover to manager. His favorite things about working for GG include the ability to see different places and meet different people everyday, the physical aspect of the work, and 'the feeling of reward you get after a hard day of work.'

Andre credits his time at Gentle Giant with learning how to improvise and adapt to any given situation at any time on a move. 'Every day is different, and no two moves are the same. Each move presents its own set of challenges. I have learned to improvise and think on my toes to get the job done quickly and efficiently for our customers over the years.'

A graduate of the University of Bonn in Germany, Andre has a master's degree in Sociology, Philosophy, and Political Science. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, writing, and collecting records. He also loves to work out and he is a very familiar face at the Gentle Giant DC warehouse gym where many Giants gather to workout together in the mornings and evenings.

When Kieffer started with Gentle Giant’s DC office, he quickly established himself as a leader. As a lifelong basketball player, he was prepared for the hustle, teamwork and focus expected of a Giant. Now a manager, Kieffer thinks of himself more as a coach, working with new Giants to help them reach top performance.

As is the case in every regional Gentle Giant office, Kieffer and his team preach and live a healthy lifestyle. This is probably why several of our locations have repeatedly been recognized as a Healthiest Employer, including DC in 2020.

Outside of work, Kieffer enjoys traveling, playing basketball and working out with his fellow Giants. You'll often find him in the DC warehouse gym bright and early before a move as he loves the fun competitive nature that exists when working out with his colleagues.

Gentle Giant did a terrific job for me. Everyone I worked with from the packers to the movers were kind, hard working and efficient. They took very good care of all my belongings. I highly recommend Gentle Giant to anyone looking for an excellent moving company!

We used Gentle Giants to wrap and load our furniture into a U-Haul truck we rented. We were happy with their response, communication and professional attitude for the initial phase and when it came to the wrapping and loading we continued to be impressed. Dakarai, Donny and Cameron were awesome. We plan to use them again. They are reasonably priced too.

I couldn’t be more impressed with this moving company and the entire team. Moving out of a three-floor walk-up is no small task, but from start to finish, everyone was incredibly professional, kind, punctual, and respectful.The packing team took such great care with every item, carefully wrapping and protecting everything before moving day. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent, and I always knew what to expect and when the team would arrive.What impressed me most was how seamlessly everyone worked together. The packing team and the moving crew felt like a truly well-oiled machine, and the heavy lifters on moving day worked incredibly hard while still being friendly and courteous. They handled a difficult move with so much care and efficiency.I’m incredibly grateful to the whole team for making what could have been a very stressful couple of days feel easy and organized. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company that genuinely cares about doing a great job.

We had the most positive experience moving with Gentle Giant and could not recommend them enough. While it was a more premium price point than what we’ve seen elsewhere, the amount of care, communication, and professionalism was well worth the investment.Not only did the team handle our items with extreme care, had super positive and can-do attitudes about the move (including climbing multiple flights of stairs with heavy furniture!), they also demonstrated incredible problem-solving skills when little hiccups came up. Thank you to our incredible team of movers - Armin, Kai, and Kevin! You made our move so much easier and stress-free!

Donny, Kevin and Raily were wonderful to work with. They took extra care of all of my items and made sure everything was put back together (sleep number bed, treadmill, etc) and functioning correctly before they left. I wouid definitely recommend Gentle Giant and this crew for exceptional professionalism and care of my home. Dominique in the office was also very communicative and quick to respond. I’m very happy with my choice to use Gentle Giant Movers.

This was my first time hiring movers for an interstate move that included a few weeks of storage so I was naturally nervous about losing or damaging any items. The minute the movers came to my place to pack up stuff and I saw them inventory every single item, I knew my things were in good hands. Armin, Vincent and Jonathan did a great job moving us into a challenging Georgetown townhouse - lots of stairs and tricky corners. We had plan b lines up for some items but the guys were able to get them where we wanted them.

I will never use another moving company again! As a former military family we experienced dozens of movers and Gentle Giants is by far the best we’ve ever worked with - they are in their own superior category. I just used Gentle Giant to move houses. The team was amazing. They were careful, communicated very well, and very efficient. I highly recommend their services. The team was led by Amin (who was amazing) and all of the crew (including Paul, Mohamed, Erick, Alonso, Buenaventura, Gerson, Kevin, Jimmy, and Octavian) were professional, friendly, and helpful!
