Bob grew up in Rhode Island, spending winters in Hopkinton and summers on Prudence Island, but calls Charlotte, NC home these days. Bob started working for our Providence, RI office in 2002, but he moved south in 2006 to help manage the Gentle Giant Moving Company's burgeoning Charlotte presence.
When asked for his funniest moving story, Bob tells a tale of a move with terrible access where the moving truck got stuck in a snowy trench and needed to be towed out. Sounds more stressful than funny to us! However, it demonstrates the Giants' grace and humor under extreme pressure on the job.
In college, Bob was actively involved in community developing, traveling around the country on Habitat for Humanity projects, as well as spending a summer in Guatemala on an economic development team. The group was asked to create a low cost feed system for livestock that functioned in conjunction with the village farm store, which they were also helping to build.
Bob was also an avid volleyball player in college at the University of Rhode Island and also played semi-pro beach volleyball doubles. When Bob isn't busy at work, he loves to play guitar, record music, paint, draw, and spend time playing at the beach with his wife Debra, and children Trygg and Espen.
