Gentle Giant Presents the 1st Annual Stadium Run World Championships

Editor’s Note (March 2020) – Due to COVID-19, this event has been cancelled for April 26th and will be rescheduled at a later date. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest and we look forward to celebrating and fundraising together soon!

SOMERVILLE, MA (February 2020) – Gentle Giant is pleased to announce its first annual Stadium Run World Championships on Sunday, April 26th.

All event proceeds with be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The mission of St. Jude is to advance cures and means of prevention of pediatric catastrophic disease through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of St. Jude’s founder, Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay.

The iconic Harvard Stadium consists of 31 levels of concrete seats across 37 sections, and the race will be a full “tour” of the stadium. The stadium has served as an iconic landmark in Gentle Giant history since the company’s early years, as new hires complete a tour of the stadium during their introductory training.

Athletes and non-athletes alike are invited to join us at Harvard Stadium on April 26th to race and assist us with raising funds for St. Jude. Elite Women and Men (less than 30 minutes projected finishing time) are suggested to register for the 8 a.m. time slot, but the day is open to your preferred time. Teams are welcome!

Starts will be single-file and to keep congestion down, starts will be limited to small groups (less than five people) and will be done in order of registration. A more precise starting time will be shared prior to the event.

Once you register, you will be taken to a personalized PledgeReg page, where you can kick-off your fundraising. We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces in April!

About Gentle Giant
In 1980, Gentle Giant Moving Company’s founder, Larry O’Toole, set out to make an impact in the Boston community by building a strong, professional and sustainable business. As a former college athlete, he began by recruiting from the ranks of his former teammates and competitors, and they trained as they had always trained: running the steps of Harvard Stadium. In the present, Gentle Giant is an award-winning national moving company serving New England and other locations across 11 states.
